Report of a FT interview with Marek Belka, Poland’s central bank governor, November 2011.

At a time of crisis in the eurozone and fears for the future of the single currency, Poland, one of the European Union’s more robust economies, reiterated its long-term intent to join the currency bloc.

'We are not the UK, which finds its future outside the euro and maybe even outside the European Union. This is not an option for Poland', Mr Melka said.
