Poland raises political pressure on Russia over ban on meat imports

Poland's decision, November 2006, to veto European Union partnership talks with Russia was made in large part because Poland has been unable to export any meat to Russia for almost a year after Moscow's decision to block the import of Polish meat and vegetables, citing health risks and forged veterinary certificates.
