Polish president appoints acting head of Constitutional Tribunal

Polish President Andrzej Duda appointed Julia Przyłębska on the 20 December 2016 to serve as the acting head of the country’s Constitutional Tribunal, amid the crisis surrounding the court.

The term of office of the previous head of the Constitutional Trbunal Andrzej Rzepliński ended on the 20 December 2016.
