Political stability helps drive Irish recovery

Despite a banking crisis and a severe austerity programme, there is little sign in Ireland of resentment turning into the massive street protests or strikes that have gripped Italy, Greece, or other European countries where populations have been squeezed to pay off banking or sovereign debt.
