Population statistics – data 1960-2003. 2004 edition

This publication provides a comprehensive statistical portrait of the European population, including information on: the EU and the world, fertility, mortality, nuptiality, migration as well as the composition and the structure of the population. The focus of data is on the EU 25 Member States and, to a lesser extent, the European Economic Area, Romania, Bulgaria as well as some Western Balkan countries. To provide high-level international comparison, countries such as the USA and Japan are also considered, where possible. A regional analysis across the EU countries is also provided.
