Portrait of the EU milk production sector

This article focuses on the production of cows’ milk and aims to give an overview of selected statistics and indicators in the European Union. Whether consumed as drinking milk or converted into other dairy products, milk produced in the EU was worth €53.1 thousand million and accounted for 14% of the value of EU agricultural output in 2011.
