Trucks are the market leader in providing freight services in Europe. This means that, to a large extent, truck prices determine rail freight prices. The current discussions over amending the Eurovignette Directive - which determines the charging principles that can be applied on Europe's motorways - is therefore crucially important for all freight modes, including the rail sector. |
