The Czech prime minister Petr Necas unveiled pro-growth measures on the 28 April 2012 after surviving a coalition crisis brought on by its fiscal conservatism.

The move was seen as a sign of the growing pressure across Europe for governments to concentrate on growth instead of continuing to cut spending.
