Press Release: 2001 Review of the EU economy: Investing in the Future

The 'EU Economy 2001 Review', based on the Commission's Autumn 2001 Forecast, and published on 28 November 2001 looks at 'prospects and policy challenges in the EU' and analyses five topical issues that require the timely attention of European policy makers. These are: macro-economic developments in the euro area; determinants of investment growth in the euro area; financial market integration in the EU; options for pension reforms; and the microeconomic impact of ICT in Europe.
