Press Release: Annual meeting of the European Court of Auditors and the European Commission

Members of the European Court of Auditors and of the European Commission held their annual joint meeting on 26 May. This regular working meeting is an occasion to strengthen relations between the two institutions and an opportunity to highlight common themes as regards sound financial management of the EU budget. The following points were on the agenda: a general discussion following discharge for the 2007 budget; discussion of the impact report on the Commission's 'action plan towards an integrated internal control framework'; discussion of tolerable risk.
