The French and Dutch authorities on 21 February 2006 presented plans to carry out targeted preventive vaccination campaigns on certain poultry to Member States in the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health (SCFCAH). These were meant as precautionary measures against highly pathogenic avian influenza.
