Press Release: Benita Ferrero-Waldner to visit Jordan 19 and 20 October

Preview of a visit of European Commissioner for External Relations and Neighbourhood Policy, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, to the Kingdom of Jordan, 19-20 October 2005. The Commissioner was planning to strengthen co-operation between the EU and Jordan through the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) and to reaffirm the European Commission’s support for Jordan’s own reform agenda. She was to sign financing agreements worth €63 million with Jordan that would assist the country in implementing its reforms and reinforce EU-Jordan ties.
