Press Release: Brazil and the EU deepen energy relations with the first Ministerial meeting of the EC-Brazil Energy Policy Dialogue

Energy Commissioner, Andris Piebalgs, and the Minister of Mines and Energy of Brazil, Edison Lobão met in São Paulo to enhance bilateral energy cooperation in the frame of the European Commission-Brazil Energy Policy Dialogue. This is the first meeting at Ministerial level since the launch of the bilateral energy dialogue in Brussels in July 2007. The encounter was held in the context of Commissioner Piebalgs' first visit to Brazil to participate in the 2nd International Biofuels Conference.
