The latest report on car prices - based on 1 May 2004 figures - shows a further price convergence for new cars across markets in the euro zone. In the euro zone, net of taxes, cars are generally cheaper in Finland and more expensive in Germany. For the first time, the report also includes prices in the new Member States. Cars are less expensive, on average, in these countries, with Poland being the cheapest market.
