Press Release: Commission adopts new Regulation exempting certain agreements in insurance sector

The European Commission has adopted a Regulation under the competition rules, conditionally authorising certain types of co-operation agreements between insurance companies. The agreements covered include the establishment of non-binding standard policy conditions, the exchange of statistical information for the calculation of risks and the creation of insurance pools.
