The European Commission on 20 July 2005 approved the measures contained in programmes to control citrus tristeza virus (CTV) notified by Campania and Basilicata, and most of the measures proposed by Sicily. However, the Commission decided to start an inquiry into a research measure contained in the draft control programme for Sicily since the lack of various technical details prevent it at this stage from assessing whether it is compatible with the rules on state-aid schemes. |
