The European Commission has approved the proposed acquisition of the UK information technology (IT) service provider Synstar Plc by Hewlett-Packard Company (HP), 10 September 2004. The analysis of the transaction has shown that HP's share of the IT services market will not be significantly altered and that consumers will continue to benefit from sufficient choice in the sector.
