On 24.5.00, the European Commission proposed a progressive reduction of eco-points for lorries crossing Austria. Loyola de Palacio, Vice-President, with responsibility for transport and energy, said that this proposal would maintain the aim of fighting pollution and take into account technological progress which has already contributed to a reduction in emissions. |
