Press Release: Commission Representations launch calls for proposals to roll out new ‘EUROPE DIRECT Information Network’ in EU-15

The European Commission's Representations started to launch the procedure to select structures which were to house the new generation of local information relays in the former EU-15 countries of the Union. The new relays, which are designed to perform the tasks previously carried out by the Info-Points Europe and rural Carrefours, would be known collectively as the 'EUROPE DIRECT Information Network' and were due to be up and running by spring 2005.
