Press Release: Commission Vice President Günter Verheugen visits the US from 19 – 21 June

Preview of a visit of European Commission Vice-President Günter Verheugen, responsible for EU enterprise and industry policy, to the US for a series of high-level meetings from 19 -21 June 2005. The visit centred on the EU-US Summit to be held in Washington on 20 June. After the Summit, Mr Verheugen was planning to hold bilateral meetings with Robert Portman, US Trade Representative, Allan Hubbard, Chairman of the National Economic Council and Carlos Gutierrez, Secretary of Commerce.
