EU Energy Commissioner, Andris Piebalgs, together with the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Klyuyev, inaugurated on 21 December 2006 the Natural Gas Metrology Centre in Boyarka, Ukraine, which has been given support from EU funds. The establishment of the Centre in Boyarka is the first EU-Ukraine effort towards ensuring a transparent system of gas transit to Europe. |
