Press Release: Cooperation on information exchange for EU operations makes progress

A new era of work for Communication and Information Systems (CIS) in support of ESDP Crisis Management Operations began in August 2008. Experts from the French Operational Headquarters near Paris and Force Headquarters in Chad were working on the integration of Logistic Functional Areas Systems Test Software Packages to support the current EU Operation EUFOR CHAD/RCA. This CIS requirement work, which is due to result in a comprehensive set of ESDP requirements, will end in February 2009 and will enable the EU to boost up CIS capabilities for future Crisis Management Operations.
