Press Release: Crucial CAP countdown

The Scottish Minister for Rural Affairs, Richard Lochhead, wrote to the UK Government in October 2012, demanding that Scotland's budget allocations be made a negotiating priority. The CAP budget was due to be set at the European Council on 22 and 23 November 2012. Scotland, like the other devolved administrations, would not be present at the crucial talks, with Prime Minister, David Cameron, instead representing the United Kingdom.
