Press Release: Cyber-attacks: how to best protect the media and critical infrastructure

The European Parliament held a debate on 27 May 2015 on how the European Union could help to counter cyber-attacks targetting media sources.

Several major Western news organisations had been hit by politically motivated cyber-attacks over the previous years, mostly in retaliation for their critical coverage of events, countries or movements such as the Syrian regime or Islamic State.
