Press Release: Danuta Hübner in Kujawsko-Pomorskie: ‘Polish regions to benefit most from new Cohesion policy through hard work and sound management’

Regional policy Commissioner, Danuta Hübner, addressed a conference on 'Cohesion policy and cities' and a group of economics students and teachers at Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, outlining the role of Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund in the development of Polish regions in 2007-2013. During her visit in the Polish region of Kujawsko-Pomorskie, on 23 June 2006, Commissioner Hübner met with the regional and local authorities and welcomed the effective management of current programmes in the region noting that it was only a first step towards gaining the maximum benefit from the new period.
