Press Release: EBRD investments rise 16% in first half

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development committed €1.43 billion for new loan and equity investments in central and eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States in the six months ended 30 June 2004, up 16 per cent from €1.23 billion in the first half of 2003.
