Press Release: EEB and Greenpeace congratulate the European Parliament for backing ban on toxic batteries

The European Environmental Bureau and Greenpeace congratulated the European Parliament on 20 April 2004 for holding out against fierce industry pressure not to ban toxic cadmium, mercury and lead in batteries.
