The Irish Presidency of the European Union hosted an Informal Ministerial Meeting in Dundalk (Ireland) from 21-23 April 2004. The central theme of the conference was 'Broadband - Content and Demand Stimulation' and discussions explored how best to inform policy towards the development of content and services to stimulate the take up of broadband connections. The second session on 22 April, to which this press release refers, focused on the implementation by Member States of their National Broadband Strategies in line with the eEurope 2005 Action Plan. |
