After the entry into force of the new framework for electronic communications, the Commission has taken decisive action to ensure enforcement of the new framework by opening infringement proceedings against Belgium, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Portugal for failure to notify transposition measures.
