On the 14 February 2014, European Commission Vice-President Neelie Kroes was told by Electronics industry CEOs, in a plan delivered to the European Commission, that Europe could capture up to 60% of new electronics markets, and double the economic value of semiconductor component production in Europe within the next 10 years.
