With effect from 2003, manufacturers of electric ovens or air-conditioning systems will be required to place a label indicating the energy consumption of products displayed for sale. This decision by the Commission will help consumers to save energy and thus contribute towards increasing the EU's security of energy supply and combating global warming. |
