Press Release: Enlargement, two years on: all win as new Member States get richer

The European Commission on 3 May 2006 adopted a Communication on the occasion of the second anniversary of the enlargement of the European Union to 10 new countries. The Communication 'Enlargement, Two Years After – An Economic Success' covered the economic aspects. It was accompanied by a more detailed and general assessment by the Bureau of Policy Advisers and the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs.
