The European Commission has selected the first 19 Erasmus Mundus masters courses on 22 September 2004, involving 82 European universities, which will start at the beginning of the academic year 2004-2005. The aim of the programme is to strengthen European cooperation and international ties in higher education by supporting high-quality masters courses and encouraging exchanges between students and academics from all over the world and the European Union. A total of € 230 million will be spent on the programme between 2004 and 2008. |
