Press Release: EU and China hail finalisation of bilateral deal clearing the way for China’s accession to the WTO

Following two days of negotiations in Brussels, EU Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy and his Chinese counterpart, Trade Minister Shi Guangsheng, announced on 20 June 2001 that the outstanding bilateral issues between the EU and China regarding China's accession to the WTO had been resolved.
