At the beginning of February 2001, the European Union and China settled a long-running dispute over so-called administrative protection for pharmaceutical and agrochemical products from Austria, Finland and Sweden. The two sides reached an agreement that brings to an end a dispute that dates back to 1994 and caused losses which the European industry estimates at €25 million. |
