Press Release: EU and US agree priorities for future cooperation on financial markets regulation

The UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown, on 2 December 2005, met with US Treasury Secretary John Snow and European Commissioner, Charlie McCreevy, to discuss progress in the EU US Financial Markets Regulatory Dialogue and priority areas for the Dialogue going forward. Annexed to this press release is the joint EU-US statement on the 'EU-US and financial markets'.
