The European Commission announced on the 11 August 2014 that EU researchers are developing an interactive system for transposing big data into an interactive environment to allow the human mind to generate new ideas more efficiently and to deal with increasingly big and complex dataset.

The system is developed by CEEDs project, which consists of 16 partners in 9 countries: Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK. Several museums in Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and the United States have already showed interest in this new technology.
