Press Release: EU research project gives citizens a voice on what they want from the City of Tomorrow

A Citizens’ Declaration on the City of Tomorrow was to be presented on 5 December 2005 in the European Parliament. The Declaration had been drawn up by a panel of 26 people from across the EU who were asked to discuss the outcomes of a number of research projects looking at sustainable urban development. This Citizens’ Conference was funded by the EU ‘RAISE’ research project and gave citizens a chance to put their concerns directly to policy-makers.
