Responding to a request from the Bulgarian authorities, the European Commission on 12 January 2006 proposed a grant from the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF) totalling €20.35 million to help to deal with the consequences of two flood disasters that severely hit the country in May and August 2005. |
