Press Release: EU supports decentralisation in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

The official launch of the 2006 Municipal Award in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia was announced on 23 January 2006. The €500,000 project, funded by the EU and managed by the European Agency for Reconstruction, will help highlight the importance of the decentralisation process and spur improvements in municipalities in providing good public services.
