Launched in 1985, EUREKA is a pan-European initiative for promoting collaborative research in advanced technology. In 2002, a total of forty UK companies are participating in the EUREKA programme. On 2 July 2002, UK Science Minister, Lord Sainsbury announced that twenty-six of these companies would benefit from a £4 million government cash boost under this initiative. |
