According to the European Commission's second quarterly Report on the Euro Area, published in July 2002, recovery is broadly following the course predicted in the European Commission's Spring Forecast. Net investment outflows from the euro area have recently been reversed while the recent increase in the euro exchange rate is in line with most estimates and with positive effects for the economy. |
