The European Commission published a study entitled 'Undeclared labour in Europe. Towards an integrated approach of combating undeclared labour' on 28 February 2002. The purpose of the study is to review policies to combat undeclared work and to evaluate the effectiveness of specific policies or mix of policies adopted by different Member States. The report, prepared for the European Commission by independent consultants, is a follow-up to the Communication on undeclared work issued by the European Commission in 1998. The findings of the report will feed into the European Commission's evaluation of the European employment strategy planned for July 2002. |
