Press Release: European Commission pushes for an up-date of innovation policies in view of the Spring Council

The European Commission adopted a new Communication on Innovation Policy on 11 March 2003. The Communication, which will be discussed at the Spring European Council, focuses on 'entrepreneurial innovation' and sets out concrete proposals on how to turn Europe's diversity into a strength in terms of innovation, the sector-specific dimension of innovation policy, and its interaction with many other policy areas.
