The European Commission adopted on 20 December 2001 a first report on the activities in 2000 of committees established under Council decision 1999/468/EC (the so-called 'comitology decision'). The report describes how the 'comitology procedures' are working. In addition to statistics on the activities of all 244 'comitology-committees' which existed in December 2000, a detailed annex shows a breakdown by policy sectors. The report has been sent to the European Parliament and Council. |
