Legal aid for civil cases will be available across all EU member states under new regulations that came into force on 30 November 2004. Council Directive 2002/8/EC of 27 January 2003 is an important part of the EU's ongoing programme of work aimed at making it easier for citizens to resolve civil disputes across European borders. |
