The European Commission has released the 6th report of the European Observatory for SMEs, an indispensable tool for enterprise policy makers, statisticians, researchers and economists. This independent report is a unique source of comprehensive information and data on the performance of SMEs in the European Economic area, plus Switzerland. Its findings will help shape enterprise policy initiatives to be launched under the Multiannual Programme for Enterprises and Entrepreneurship (2001-2005).
