The European Commission will deploy an EU Election Observation Mission (EOM) for the legislative elections in Rwanda scheduled to take place on 15 – 18 September 2008. The EU EOM has arrived in the country and is a further contribution by the European Commission to supporting democracy in Rwanda. It will be led by Mr Michael Cashman, Member of the European Parliament. |
