Press Release: Europeans and the international crisis

A Flash Eurobarometer conducted by the European Commission of a sample of 15 000 residents of the EU about the international crisis generated by the events of 11 September and published on 4 December 2001 has shown the majority support military actions. There is also massive support for humanitarian aid rather than arms, concerted action by the EU and its Member States rather than isolated intervention and support too for restoring democracy and the reconstruction of Afghanistan.
