On 11 July 2002 European Commissioner Franz Fischler met Australian Prime Minister Howard who had expressed his wish to discuss agricultural policy and trade negotiationsduring his visit to the European Union. Mr. Howard had made it clear at all stages of his trip that he wished to use his meetings to press for reforms in common agricultural policy and for progress in the Doha negotiations on agriculture. |
